Brandon Thompson

Brandon Thompson realized his love for dancing in 1993 when he went to Argentina as an exchange student through the rotary club. There he became quite proficient in Argentine Tango and upon his return to the States, he decided to make dancing a career for himself.

Brandon has extensive training in Rhythm and Standard from some of the best coaches in the US. He has competed professionally in Rhythm and now competes with his partner, Kimberly Hassmann in Standard. They travel all over the world competing and continuing their training.

Brandon and Kimberly opened their studio, Shall We Dance, in Louisville in 2004, and are getting ready to open a second location in New Albany, IN in November 2005.

Brandon and Kimberly portray their love of dancing on the floor performing shows and entertaining those who love the art and sport of dance.

Kimberly Hassmann
Kimberly Hassmann started dancing ballet, tap and jazz at the age of 6.  She knew at a very young age that she was born to dance.  She started ballroom at the age of 21 while finishing her degree in law enforcement administration at the University of Oklahoma.

Kimberly began training in the International Standard Latin, and American Smooth and Rhythm.  Within six months she was out on the dance floor competing professionally throughout the US.  She traveled to New York to increase her training and moved to Prague, Czech Republic where she continued to pursue her training from some of the best-known coaches in the world.

After taking a few years off to start a family with two beautiful daughters, Shanay and Gabby, she decided to jump back into the business and give it 100%.  She was now back in Oklahoma City where she met and paired up with Brandon Thompson.

They started competing professionally in International Standard and have placed in the finals of numerous NDCA competitions throughout the US.

They have been in the Louisville area for almost two years now and are owners of their own dance studio, Shall We Dance.  They have another location in downtown New Albany, IN.
